Air Filters

If there's a dirty air filter on your lawnmower, it's robbing your horsepower, robbing your gasoline - and it could even damage your engine! Just a little dirt in your engine can cause more cylinder wall wear and carburetor problems than anyone would want to deal with. The easiest way to make sure your engine is performing at its best (besides changing your oil) is by changing your air filter. Do your engine a favor and replace your old, dirty filter with a new one. Your engine will last a lot longer.

Mill Supply carries aftermarket air filters that fit all major brand mower engines including: Briggs & Stratton, Honda, John Deere, Kubota, Kawasaki, Kohler, Tecumseh and Lawn Boy. The replacement filters we supply are quality reproductions for your original equipment. Pre filters (foam filter around the paper filter) are included with filters that require them and can also be purchased separately. Literally hundreds of filters are available through our web site or through our catalog. Many of our listings include the OE number and engine size for an accurate replacement. Fuel Filters

The in-line fuel filters Mill Supply carries are made for specific applications but can be used in multiple applications. Most fuel filters use ¼ gas line; Mill Supply carries filter that use ¼” gas line and 5/16” gas line. In-line fuel filters we stock have a micron element rating from 10 microns to 150 microns. Our large 1358 filter uses a two step filter that will accept ¼” gas lines or 5/16” gas lines. This 1358 filter has an excellent 9 to 15 micron rating.

Oil Filters and Transmission Filters

For optimum performance and longevity, you should change your transmission fluid per the specification in your manual. Transmission fluid serves a multitude of purposes. Among other things, it transmits power to, lubricates, cleans and protects your transmission. Even under normal mowing conditions, fluid will become contaminated by wearing internal transmission components. If these contaminants are not drained out, they will shorten the life of your transmission. Mill Supply also carries hydraulic transmission filters for the more popular Scag and John Deere mowers.

Oil filters remove abrasive particles from the motor oil by a straining process as the oil circulates through the engine. The oil filters Mill Supply lists replace the original equipment and fit the Kohler, Kubota, John Deere, Onan, Honda, Tecumseh and Briggs and Stratton.
